In Cooperative Society Isusu contribution is the traditional means to encourage savings and financial discipline among the lower and middle classes in the society. The conventional banking system has failed to address the needs of the deficit sector of the economy which are dominated by the lower and middle classes, hence the need to practice a traditional banking system where like-minded people using cooperative society raise commonwealth to address their financial challenges.
Isusu contribution with a minimum of N1000 per unit monthly is one of GGM saving product, GGM member who contributes N10,000 monthly means that he is contributing 10units of GGM Cooperative contribution monthly. At the end of the year, profit is shared in line with the number of units a member has.
GGM Capital Investment is saving product in GGM Cooperative Ltd. This type of investment is deposited or roll over at the beginning of every year. The minimum investible fund is N10,000. A member who invest invest N200,000 in GGM Capital Investment means that he has 20 units of capital investment. This investment is done at the beginning of the year and ends in January.
At the end of financial year, the declared profit, will be shared in the ratio of 60:40. Capital Investment takes 60% goes to Isusu contributors.
